Piedmont Prairie Quarry Wall

Set among the fading edges of a Piedmont prairie, this wall series blends structure with story. Built from locally sourced quarry stone, the project includes both traditional double-stack construction and expressive lacework sections that breathe light and air through the stone. Each lift, wedge, and throughstone was hand-set with the land in mind—meant to frame native grasses and hold space for the return of wild things. Part boundary, part sculpture, part invitation to look closer.
